What’s the difference between a Quick Bread and a Yeast Bread?
Basically, the difference between the quick bread and the yeast bread is the use of a leavening agent, yeast or a sourdough starter. Quick bread doesn’t use yeast, but instead, they use baking powder and baking soda. It leavens more rapidly than Yeast bread, hence the name “Quick Bread.” Examples of quick bread are cakes, brownies, banana bread, scones, and cookies.
Yeast bread, on the other hand, uses yeast for leavening. It also needs kneading or rising. Some yeast bread includes white and whole wheat bread.
Below you will see that I have categorized the bread into different types.
