We were off to Eastern Beach, Manukau when we stopped by at Countdown Manukau to buy some snacks and we bought ginger bread man and this custard pie from the bakery for $2.50. I was not happy with it, I thought it was something close to an egg pie. I thought that the custard is sweet and smooth or something close like a custard in our Brazo de Mercedes Roll but it’s not. The custard is more of cornstarch and water than a real custard. It’s not worth buying. Even the pie crust is not yummy at all. I love my homemade pie crust better than that. I won’t buy it again.
